McEwan Fraser Legal who are backing Inverness Caley Thistle as part of a two-year deal, has put pen to paper to a deal to sponsor the shirt of Inverness Thistle Amateur Football Club (Inverness Thistle AFC).
Inverness Thistle AFC is a new club, but with a heritage based upon the original Inverness Thistle FC, who merged with Inverness Caledonian to form the present-day professional side. Caley Thistle became the first Highland club to make it to the Scottish Premiership, in record-breaking time after their formation in 1994. Thistle will play in the Inverness District Football Association (IDFA) Premiership.
McEwan Fraser Legal chief executive Ken McEwan says: “We are delighted to be able to support Inverness Thistle AFC as they get their new club up and running. The Jags were a huge part of the Highland football scene, and whilst Caley Thistle has gone on to become a massive success, we are pleased to be able to support Liam Paterson and his team as they kick-off a new era in the amateurs. “We’re proud to support the communities in which we live and work, and so being able to help this new team get themselves up and running is something we were only too pleased to do.
Our commitment is to always think differently, with our offices open until midnight, and our approach to property marketing the most sophisticated and successful in the marketplace. That’s exactly the rule we’ve applied here with Inverness Thistle AFC.”
Inverness Thistle AFC chairman Liam Paterson adds: “We are grateful to McEwan Fraser Legal for their support as our first main club sponsor as we kick-off our new club. McEwan Fraser Legal have established themselves through their sponsorship of Caley Thistle, and we’re proud to be able to join the group of teams they support. “We’re excited to kick-off this new project with Inverness Thistle AFC and hope that we can go on to represent the red & black of the Jags with great pride.”
